Mum’s The Word is a curated live storytelling show featuring eight performers sharing true personal stories inspired by motherhood in its many forms. Through humor, vulnerability, and real-life insight, the show explores caregiving, chosen family, being parented, and the complicated, unexpected ways we mother and are mothered.

This ensemble of Denver and Boulder-area storytellers includes improvisers from Chaos Bloom, Rise Comedy, and Superior Improv formed in storytelling classes and meets virtually monthly to workshop materials together. Members have since shared their stories at venues including The Moth, The Bug Theatre’ “Exposed” show, The Narrators, Junkyard Social, and Chaos Bloom Theater.

8 storytellers. 5-7 minutes each. One captivating evening of hooks, pulls, surprises, and turns.

Doors open at 6:00 PM. Show starts at 6:30 PM.

$8 online/$10 at the door.

All ages welcome. Artists create and perform their own material; the views expressed on stage are those of the performer and not necessarily those of Flipside Theatre.
