Next Level Stand Up (401)
Sharpen your voice. Pack more punch.Stand-Up Level 4: Voice & Persona
At a certain point, writing more jokes isn't the challenge. Writing jokes that sound unmistakably like you is.
Next Level 401 is focused on developing your comedic persona—the version of yourself that audiences connect with on stage. Through weekly writing exercises, rewrites and performance reps, you'll learn how to sharpen your voice, strengthen your point of view and make your material feel more specific, intentional and memorable.
Each week you'll:
Tackle a focused writing challenge built around a key stand-up skill, from premise development and tags to storytelling, rhythm, subtext, and emotional point of view.
Get stage time to test new material and revisions.
Receive structured feedback from Christie and your classmates.
Use guided rewrite tools and mini-labs to turn promising ideas into stronger bits.
This class is for comics who already have the fundamentals and want a more deliberate approach to growth. If you're looking for accountability, thoughtful feedback and a place to refine your next 5–10 minutes, this is where the work happens.
You'll leave with a tighter set, a clearer sense of your onstage persona and practical tools you can bring to every joke you write.
